Acting: Experience and Aspirations

Miri Elise has studied acting since she was in early elementary school. She began studying at the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music’s Preparatory Program in a variety of Acting and Musical Theatre courses. The programs were heavy influencers in her choosing to pursue her BFA in Musical Theatre at Slippery Rock University.

She hopes to use the techniques and tools she’s acquired to work primarily in Film/TV for both drama and sitcom-style works. Her dream career would involve months of on-set, cat-filled, trailers, playing shows with her original music, and then randomly announcing a movie musical/national tour/Broadway show.

She LOVES the dichotomy of the ultra-dramatic and ultra-unserious (much like who she is).

She is heavily influenced by Anna Kendrick, Amy Poeler , Audrey Plaza, and Kristin Bell.

Currently, Miri is finishing up her senior year as a BFA Musical Theatre major!
